The 'Ignorance pulls the Trigger' campaign was initiated in 2011 through various phases. Designed to draw attention to global issues, the campaign aimed to make people realize that we cannot continue down the same path. Polluted oceans, environmental toxins, and genetically modified food are some of the major dangers of ignorance, along with the exploitation of human capital and factory farming.
Since 2020, the campaign has escalated further. The COVID-19 crisis has significantly intensified the campaign's message and warning to humanity. If we continue to remain passive as a society, the repercussions could be severe, even fatal.
The campaign originated from the intuitive thinking of Kai Stuht, aiming to alert society to the fact that we are living in times of daily atomic threats, resembling a societal genocide. Over 20,000 individuals and more than 400 celebrities have participated in the campaign. Stuht left it to the subjects to decide how they wanted to be photographed with the handheld pistol. It is remarkable, however, how many people intuitively directed the pistol towards themselves. Could it be a premonition?
