Bai Ling made a notable appearance alongside Richard Gere in the Hollywood film Red Corner in 1998, catapulting her to global fame. However, it was not only her performance but also her eccentric personality that kept her in the public eye.
In 2006, Bai Ling traveled to Munich expressly for a photoshoot with Kai Stuht to capture a campaign for an avant-garde fashion designer specializing in latex couture. The concept aimed to pay homage to Quentin Tarantino's bloodthirsty Hollywood films. Despite sparing no artificial blood, the goal was to offer a critical perspective on the gory films produced by Hollywood studios. The photographs were crafted to convey a photographic aesthetic amid the provocative subject matter.
